Creating Elegant  Spaces

DLF Chennai

2500sft Apartment

March 2016

The design style is minimalist freeing the mind from all the chaos and stress that comes by living in the heart of the city. The client required a simple and elegant apartment that allows itself to grow with the family. Once you enter the Jalli design is a strong design demarcation by itself in the seamless space of formal and informal living. The living and dining rooms have been planned as one visually large block to create an illusion of space.

The basic palette of natural woods, whites, warm & cool colors highlights, textures, and stone finishes have been adopted here. Every space is designed for different light effects to complement the mood.

The main Drawing Room is done up using earthy colors with orange to break the monotony of the same. The Informal Living, Dining, and Kitchen have been merged together continuing the beige color. The partially open kitchen allows the space to merge into each other.

"Good space management in an apartment can make everyday life very comfortable. The décor style is contemporary with subtle and elegant aesthetics." Says Rashmi Rathi, Partner VINAY AND RASHMI

The master suite has an indulgent luxurious layout with the warm yellow Serip Organic Lights from Italy, which are used on sideboards of the master bedroom with a partially backed cushioned headboard. Every bedroom suite is designed to inspire the specific user of the room.

Sons Room is a classic den with vibrant wallpaper with Swarovski’s in them and the hanging lights by the side are a style statement and not a word required to explain anything else. Daughter’s Room is spiced up with the use of mirrors and gloss finish steel and white lamination on wood. The designer wallpaper and artwork are done in the background give the room a more natural feel showing her love for nature. The mirror reflects back making magic to the interiors of the room.
